Our Services
The goal of Community Support Services is to empower people to realize their strengths, integrate into their communities, and build the confidence to become their own best advocates. Service users receive intensive community-based mental health and/or substance use rehabilitative services that not only provide treatment, but also help improve a person’s quality of living through increased coping skills, better social supports, improved symptom and medication management, finding employment, and reduced occurrence of crisis situations such as hospitalization or incarceration.
Comprehensive Clinical Assessments are the cornerstone of the treatment process. Our licensed clinicians perform an evaluation that is professional, thorough, informative, and discrete. Because assessment is such a vital part of the treatment process, we have an “open access” policy in place – no appointment is necessary, but please try to call ahead when possible. Come to our walk-in clinic between 8:30 am and 11:00 am on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Upon completion, we will fully explain the results of your Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (CCA) and any service recommendations.
RHA Behavioral Health’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Program services include comprehensive clinical assessments, medication management, peer support, and therapy (individual, group and family), as well as education and referrals. All services are provided by clinicians and qualified professionals who are fluent in sign language. Please contact our Deaf & Hard of Hearing Program to make an appointment.
Intensive In-Home Services are time-limited therapeutic intervention services for youth who are at high risk of out-of-home placement due to serious behavioral health challenges and who have not experienced success in traditional treatment settings. IIH Services seek to prevent these out-of-home placements when possible and preserve normal family living arrangements through the use of in-home supports such as intensive case management and monitoring, therapy and substance use treatment, and family counseling.
Group therapy is our main therapeutic approach because it has been shown to have lasting positive results for people who regularly attend therapy and self-help groups. Individual therapy sessions provide the opportunity to review your progress, discuss individual challenges and concerns, and manage crisis situations when needed. We also provide family therapy, psychiatric care, medication management, peer support and enhanced services where needed.
On the path to recovery, it helps to have the support of someone who has been there before. That’s where RHA Peer Support Specialists can help. Peer Support Specialists are individuals with a mental health or substance use diagnosis who have demonstrated resiliency and success in their own personal recovery efforts and completed at least 40 hours of intensive Peer Support training. They mentor and offer special insight as they help others in recovery build self-advocacy skills, learn to better manage their mental health needs/addiction, and find housing, employment, or education. Peer Support Specialists may also help people in recovery develop their Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), which focuses on life goals, crisis planning, and relapse prevention.
RHA Psychosocial Rehabilitation programs are designed to help adults with behavioral health challenges increase their ability to live independently, minimizing their need for ongoing professional intervention. We help people set and pursue their own personal goals and implement steps to better manage their illness and their everyday lives. Self-advocacy, management of personal care and daily living, pre-vocational activities, and supported employment are just some of the features our PSRs can offer.
Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) is a program that meets 5 days a week. It is more intensive in frequency and duration than SAIOP. We offer this program for people with complex medical or behavioral health needs with a long history of substance abuse. The SACOT program provides you the opportunity to participate in therapeutic and educational groups, individual sessions, and a higher level of involvement from medical professionals. Our goal is to help you achieve a lifetime commitment to healthy living without the use of drugs and alcohol.
Our Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program consists of structured Individual, Group and Family therapy, case management support, substance use/addiction education, and relapse prevention planning. We help program participants learn healthy coping skills and develop an individualized recovery plan. Substance use treatment may also help people to repair/improve relationships and build better social support networks, decrease mental health symptoms, enhance self-esteem, discover activities and hobbies of interest and improve their overall health.
Transition Management Services are rehabilitation services intended to help people live more independently within their own communities by maintaining tenancy. RHA offers discreet housing support to people with mental health needs and/or substance use challenges who are experiencing difficulty in maintaining tenancy due to these conditions.
